JPPG Service Points for End of Year Awards

Each year at the Annual JPPG Christmas Party, there are several awards that are given to deserving members. The Awards page details each of these awards, but the information below demonstrates the points system behind the awards. This will provide clarification of exactly what is involved in the decision making process and how the award recipients are chosen.

Service Points

Download Service & Education Points Spreadsheet. This requires MS Excel to open.

We've made it easy for you to keep track of your points by providing you with this downloadable Excel Spreadsheet which will tally your points automatically. Simply complete and email it as an attachment to the Director of Membership at the end of each quarter. It is up to you to keep track of your own points, in detail, and turn them in. The Director of Membership will keep track of the accumulated points that you turn in. If you fail to keep track of your points, you will not be considered for the End of Year Awards.

Competition Points

The Photographer of the Year Award is the most coveted JPPG award that exists. This award is based on points gathered at the two salons as well as service awards gathered throughout the year. For salon, the cumulative score from the photographer's case in both salons is totaled and additional points are earned for Best of Show, First, Second, or Third Place as well as for any images that merit (score 80 or above) - these points are tallied by the Salon Committee; however members must keep track of their own service and education points and turn them in on a quarterly basis to be considered for the Photographer of the Year. For your convenience, a Service & Education Points Spreadsheet is provided for download.
